Kerala state cooperative service examination board conducts a written examination of candidates for selection to various posts as and when the requisition for such examination, is received from the concerned societies.

Kerala state cooperative service examination board conducts a written examination of candidates for selection to various posts as and when the requisition for such examination, is received from the concerned societies.

The board shall frame necessary regulations, and rules of procedure for the proper conduct of examination and get it approved by the govt before its publication. They shall be responsible to maintain secrecy in the presentation of the consolidated list.


Categories of posts

  • Junior Clerk/ Cashier
  • Asst. Secretary / Chief accountant

CSEB EXAM Pattern

  • The examination will consist of 160 questions 
  • The exam will be conducted for a total of 80 marks 
  • Each question carries 0.5 marks
  • There is no information regarding negative mark  
  • the cutoff mark is based on the vacancies reported by various societies.
  • CSEB conducts 3 exams in a year.


Who can apply for CSEB Exam?

  1. A degree in commerce or master’s degree from a recognized university, with cooperation as a special subject.
         OR
  1. B.A, B.Sc. or B.com Degree of recognized university and
    Higher diploma in cooperation (HDC) and Business management of state cooperative union or H.D.C.M of the National Council for Cooperative Training. or 
  2. Any degree and Successful completion of Junior Diploma in Cooperation (J.D.C).
  3. B.Sc. (Cooperation & Banking) Degree of the Kerala Agriculture University

These qualified candidates can apply for other exams related to cooperation conducted by Kerala. PSCs like cooperative inspectors, accountants, and various posts of apex cooperative societies. The Kerala public service commission will release the Kerala bank recruitment 2022 notification soon there are huge job opportunities in various positions. This exam, held for the first time in Kerala, provides a great opportunity for the candidates.

CSEB Syllabus

Junior clerk exam syllabus 

General knowledge, Numerical ability, General English, Accountancy, Banking, Cooperative laws and regulations, and Cooperation (principles and practices).

Syllabus for Assit.secretary /Chief accountant

General English, general knowledge, the test of reasoning cooperative laws and rules, accounting, banking, cooperative principles, and practices.

Application fees for CSEB Exam

Candidates can apply for more than one post in the Kerala CSEB Examination. For general category candidates, the fees to be paid are Rs.150 for the first bank and Rs.50 extra for each branch they apply. For SC/ST category candidates, the fee to be paid is Rs.50 for the first bank and Rs.50 for each bank they apply.

The fees for the examination can be paid through the branches of FEDERAL BANK and KERALA STATE COOPERATIVE BANK (KERALA BANK).

Steps to apply for CSEB Examination

  • Go to the Kerala State Cooperative Service Examination Board's official website.
  • Click on the notification Tab.
  • Click on the application form Tab. 
  • Download the application form.
  • Fill in the application form.
  • Attach self-attested copies of necessary documents proving qualification, age, and experience.
